Barys will conclude their Far Eastern road trip with a second meeting against Admiral.
Yesterday, the Astana side defeated the Vladivostok team 2:1. The visitors secured the win thanks to goals from Max Willman and Tyce Thompson, as well as 31 saves by goaltender Nikita Boyarkin. Jake Massie was involved in both scoring plays for Barys. For the hosts, Nikita Tertyshny scored, while goaltender Ivan Kulbakov made 26 saves.
Admiral head coach Oleg Bratash said the outcome of the game was decided by one mistake from his players. Meanwhile, Barys head coach Mikhail Kravets admitted the match was very tough, but his team did just enough to earn the victory.
The Vladivostok side remains on 46 points after 64 games. Barys have collected 51 points with three games left in the season.
