The Astana team begins an extended January road trip with games in Kurgan against Tyumensky Legion.

The Tyumen side recently wrapped up a short road series in Novosibirsk, where the teams split the points. In the first game, Tyumensky Legion fell 1:2, with Roman Redko scoring their only goal. In the second matchup, Sergei Shepelev’s squad looked more confident and secured a 3:2 overtime victory. Timur Kholikov and Roman Redko scored in regulation, while Ivan Yanovsky became the overtime hero.

Heading into the meeting with the Astana team, Tyumensky Legion sit ninth in the Silver Division standings with 21 points in 39 games.

Snezhnie Barsy, meanwhile, concluded a short home series against Krasnoyarskie Rysi, where the teams also traded wins. In the first game, the hosts claimed a 6:3 victory. Tair Bigarinov, Aituar Nurzhanov, and Mstislav Shipilin scored, while Aristarkh Kireyev recorded a hat trick. In the second matchup, Snezhnie Barsy were shut out 0:3.

At present, Snezhnie Barsy sit at the bottom of the Silver Division standings with 11 points in 35 games.
