Alexei Zhamnov Spartak head trainer

- I'd like to acknowledge my opponent. A worthy opponent, even despite the score, I think it was a tough game. The game was not going well on our side because there were lulls, especially in the second period. But overall, a win is a win.

- How much stronger has Spartak's attacking line become since Alexei Kovalev joined the coaching staff?

- You see the result. I think that, his work with the forwards is paying off.

- How do you adjust your players for the upcoming playoffs, given that you don't have many players with cup experience on your team?

- Yeah, we don't really have a lot of guys with cup experience. Perfectly understand our pros and cons. Right now, the most important thing for us is to have all the injured guys back so we can start getting our combinations ready for the playoffs. And as far as chances go, the playoffs are the playoffs. It's not the regular season, a lot will depend on ourselves.

Oleg Bolyakin, acting head trainer of Barys

- Unfortunately, the losing streak continues. Today, the opponent had an advantage. We asked the guys to play patiently, but not all the players, probably, got the idea that we should fight in every shift, we should play the right defense and not lose our sectors.

- Pasquale played almost all matches of the home series in goal. Wasn't there any thought of putting Shutov in from the first minute today?

- You can't blame the goalie, we're a team. We don't have, let's say, this one is at fault or that one. I don't believe it was his mistakes there. We got the first goal because the defender made the wrong play, backed off and gave territory away. Lost his sector, and from beneath him "decided". Probably everyone realizes that Spartak have scored the most in the League for a reason. They have very good quality hockey players and they punished us for our mistakes.

- Joseph LaBate is back in the lineup, how would you rate his play today?

- He's doing his best. It's clear that a month has been missed. It will take a certain amount of time for conditioning to set in, I think.
