Kazakhstan U16 Championship: Barys Crowned National Champions

The final stage of the Kazakhstan U16 Ice Hockey Championship (2009-born age group, “Elite” division) concluded at Barys Arena.

In the bronze medal game, SDYUSSH No. 10 triumphed over Yunost in a shootout. The teams exchanged goals throughout regulation, and the game-winner came from Mansur Umurbekov in the post-overtime shootout, sealing third place for the team from Astana.

In the gold medal final, Barys and Torpedo battled through a tense and tight game that saw all regulation goals come in the third period. Hamzat Gabazov put Torpedo ahead, but Barys responded through Kirill Zadorozhny. In the shootout, Rauan Kaiyrzhan scored the decisive goal, clinching the championship title for Barys.
