Barys hockey club officially announces the conclusion of a contract with Andrei Shutov. The bilateral agreement with the goalkeeper is designed for two seasons (until April 30, 2024).
Shutov made his debut in the KHL last season, winning an away match against Metallurg (GAA – 2.89, 92.5% of reflected shots). The goalkeeper also played 8 matches for Nomad in the championship of Kazakhstan and helped his team to win in each of them (GAA – 1.43, 94.4% of the total).
In May, Andrei was the main goalkeeper of the Kazakhstan national team at the World Championship in the elite division. Following the results of the group stage, Shutov became the leader in the number of saves among all goalkeepers.
