After Vityaz - Barys match (5-0), a press conference was held with participation of the head coaches of teams.

– Probably, special teams played decisive role in the match today. The fact that we had 14 minutes of power play during two periods and almost did not realize scoring chances. Most of players were non-aggressive, and there was no player in the opponents' goal crease who would block Shikin’s view. In the third period, the game changed dramatically because of our discipline. If you do not score as much in power play, then most likely you will miss shorthanded goals as well. This is not an excuse, rather, food for thought. Boyarkin's game? I do not want to evaluate his play, I never comment on the goalkeepers’ game. The whole team did not look very good today.

– The team won. Everyone saw that the third period was decisive, when we managed to score a lot of goals. In the first two periods, discipline was lame, we had a lot of penalties. However, our players passed this exam with honor. The goalkeeper played without fouling, which is very nice as well. Our secret of success? It's simple – work and desire. Well, confidence comes from victories. How did you manage to play so well in the power play? It does not happen naturally, a lot of work is being done. Of course, it depends on performance and skills of the guys who go on the ice. Shikin kept the team in this game, as in previous matches. This is quite encouraging. But, once again, we have to act more rationally and play less short-handed, so that the goalkeeper does not have such burden.
