Logan Day joins Barys

Barys has signed American defenseman Logan Day to a one-year contract through May 31, 2027.

For the past two seasons, the right-shot defenseman played for Traktor. Last season, Day appeared in 61 regular-season games, recording 17 points and averaging over 20 minutes of ice time per game. He also added 1 goal and 5 assists in 17 playoff games.

Before joining the KHL, Day spent four seasons with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, where he won the Calder Cup twice.

Leonid Metalnikov, General Manager of Barys:

“Logan had an excellent season with Traktor, which reached the Gagarin Cup Final. This experienced KHL player should become a key contributor in our lineup. As a right-shot defenseman, he is a scarce commodity on the market. We hope that Day will add more offensive creativity to our team while maintaining efficiency in his own zone.”
