Barys' best players according to smart puck data

KHL.ru presents the best players from each club in the 2023/24 regular season according to data from sports telematics.

David Sklenicka became the Astana team's leader in shot power (167.7 km/h), distance with the puck (23,500 meters) and accurate passes among defensemen (1,618).

In terms of expected goals (xG), Pontus Oberg (16) took the top spot. The Swedish forward also became Barys' best player in terms of distance traveled (318,433 meters) and successful passes among forwards (1,012).

Andrei Shutov (13.63) became the best puckstopper of Kazakhstan team by xG- (expected goals minus actually conceded goals). Arkadiy Shestakov has won the most one-on-one battles in Barys (637). Maximum speed in the current season was developed by Ruslan Ospanov (37.9). Joseph LaBate became the team leader in traffic generated in front of the goal (151).
