Today, the Astana side played Game 5 of the finals series against Saryarka. With a 3–2 overtime win, Nomad secured the Kazakhstan championship and wrapped up the season on a high note.
The game got off to a fast start. Just two minutes in, Adil Beisembayev opened the scoring, setting the tone early. Saryarka responded quickly, as Radel Fazleyev evened things up shortly after.
The teams remained evenly matched until the middle of the second period, when Dias Guseynov restored the lead for the home side in the 31st minute.
The turning point came in the third period. Kirill Polokhov tied the game again, sending it to overtime, where both teams pushed hard for the winner.
This time, overtime didn’t last long. In the 68th minute, Beibarys Orazov fired home the game-winning goal to seal the title—Nomad’s third championship.
