In their final home game of 2024, Barys is set to face Sibir.
In the previous match, Sibir managed to secure a home victory over Admiral (4:2). By the 46th minute, Sibir was trailing, but they turned the tide with three consecutive successful attacks. The goals were scored by Vladislav Kara, Andy Andreoff, Trevor Murphy, and Taylor Beck. Goaltender Denis Kostin stopped 33 shots. Head coach Vadim Yepanchintsev highlighted his team's effective play in tight areas around the crease, noting their persistence and effort to screen the goaltender.
Sibir currently holds 31 points from 35 games. Trevor Murphy (8+26) is the league's top-scoring defenseman and ranks in the top three for points in the championship overall. Before the transfer deadline, the team signed forward Brendan Leipsic. Defenseman Fyodor Gordeev remains on the injured list.
Earlier this week, Barys scored three goals against Traktor but fell short, losing 3:5. Scorers included Stanislav Bocharov, Kirill Savitsky—who has now reached 10 points this season (5+5)—and the team's leading scorer, Anton Burdasov (12+5). Adil Beketayev also recorded his 10th point (3+7).
After 40 games, Barys has accumulated 23 points. Dinmukhammed Kaiyrzhan has recovered from injury and participated in a full team practice. However, Maxim Mukhametov and Batyrlan Muratov will miss the match due to medical reasons.Game Details:
