Molot – Snezhnye Barsy: Game Preview

Ilgiz Nuriev’s team have travelled to Perm for a short road series, where they will face MHK Molot.

Molot opened the season with a road series in Khanty-Mansiysk, where the teams split the two games. The first meeting ended in a 3–2 overtime victory for the hosts. Matvey Cheranev and Alexander Uzhva scored for the Perm side. In the second game, Molot claimed a 5–3 victory. Alexander Uzhva, Alexander Stepanov, Dmitry Dubrovsky, Semyon Karpov and Mikhail Kalashnik found the back of the net.

Snezhnye Barsy completed their home series with two games against AKM-Junior and one against Loko-76. In the first game, the hosts suffered a 1–4 defeat, with Zhakhan[g]ir Tleukhan scoring the only goal for Snezhnye Barsy. In the second meeting, the Barsy came back from 2–3 to force overtime but were unable to secure the win. Aristarkh Kireev and Matvey Umerenkov scored for the Astana side. The game against Loko-76 was decided in a shootout, again with the home team coming up short. With the score at 1–2, Ilya Gromov scored Snezhnye Barsy’s only goal, marking his first MHL goal.

The game against MHK Molot will start at 19:00 Kazakhstan time.
