As part of preparations for the IIHF Women’s World Championship Division IB, Kazakhstan’s women’s national team has begun a training camp at the Olympic Training Center in Almaty. The camp started on March 22, and the team will travel to Spain on April 2. The tournament will take place from April 12–18, where Kazakhstan will face Latvia, the Netherlands, South Korea, Great Britain, and Spain.
The coaching staff, led by Tomiris head coach Alexander Tebenkov, invited 36 players to the initial stage of preparation, including several members of the junior national team. Eight representatives from Tomiris made the extended roster.
Goaltenders: Veronika Ageeva, Sofia Ageeva, Polina Govtva, Maria Yakovleva (all – Torpedo), Arina Shchyokolova (Tomiris).
Defensemen: Yulia Butorina, Alexandra Voronova, Daria Moldabay (all – Tomiris), Zere Zhumash, Evelina Yemtseva (both – Aisulu Tandaualy), Eva Inshakova, Katrin Meskini, Kira Krukholskaya, Ulyana Kuklina, Aidana Rakhatkyzy, Polina Yakovleva (all – Torpedo), Kalima Nigmatulina (Gracia).
