Ten teams will compete for the Kazakhstan Championship title next season: Aktobe, Almaty, Arlan, Beibarys, Gornyak, Irtysh, Kulager, Nomad, Saryarka, and Torpedo. The schedule was developed taking into account the competitions involving Kazakhstan's national teams, including the Asian Championship, international tournaments, the Winter Universiade, World Championships and other events. The tournament will consist of three stages.
The schedule for the first stage was drawn up according to the teams' final positions from last season. All teams will play each other twice. The teams that finished in the top five last season will have the opportunity to play more games at home during the first stage.
In the second stage, all teams will face each other four times — twice at home and twice away. As a result, each team will play a total of 54 games during the regular season.
Nomad will open the season with a six-game home series. The Astana side will face Irtysh from Pavlodar (September 1–2), Gornyak from Rudny (September 6–7), and Almaty (September 10–11). The team will then embark on a road trip to Aktobe and Atyrau, where they will face Aktobe on September 19–20 and Beibarys on September 23–24.
The final games of the regular season will be played on February 17, 2027.
The top eight teams will then advance to the playoffs (third stage), where the Pro Hokei Ligasy champion and medalists will be determined. The playoff stage will begin on February 21. All playoff series will be played in a best-of-seven format. If necessary, Game 7 of the final will be held on April 16.
This season will also feature a third-place series, which will be played in a best-of-five format between April 1 and 9, if necessary.
