Starchenko spent 17 seasons with Barys and holds the KHL record for the most games played for a single club (819). In 871 KHL games, the forward scored 215 goals and recorded 209 assists. In the recently concluded season, Roman helped Nomad win the Pro Ligasy championship.
As a member of the Kazakhstan national team, Starchenko participated in 18 World Championships, including 10 in the top division. He is also a two-time Asian Games champion and an Asian champion.
In the new season, Roman Leonidovich will begin his coaching career and join Konstantin Pushkaryov's coaching staff at Nomad.
