We would like to attend the Sports School, but we are from another city. Are there any possibilities to be admitted?
Yes, there are. The child comes to us for examination. The coaches will decide whether he fits all the criteria or not. If he is, there are no problems. Provided that the parents are ready to move to Astana.
Does the Sports School cooperate with other schools in the capital and other cities? If it does, what schools and in what ways?
We have the memorandum of cooperation with CYSS No.10 - it is the Specialized Children's and Youth Ice hockey School No.10 under the capital akimat. Under this memorandum, we transfer the boys, who are not included into the main team, to this school, in order for them to maintain their playing practice, and they also participate in the same championships of Kazakhstan and Russia.
What are the main requirements for a child in admission to the school?

How much does the training cost at the school?
The training is free. The work of the coaches and the rent of the ice arena is paid by our club.
How long is the training session?
On average, training session lasts an hour and a half. It's on ice. In addition, there are warm-ups on the ground before the ice and cool down exercises after the ice, these are so-called "dry" workouts.
How is the issue of overlaying training sessions and tournaments on the schedule of lessons at school solved?
We try to make the schedule so that tournaments take place mostly on holidays and weekends. But it also happens that we ask secondary schools to meet us halfway and let our guys go to competitions. But at the same time, all children know that school performance should not suffer and be at the proper level. As for training, we adapt to the guys. We schedule the training depending on their school timetable.
How are coaches hired to the Sports School?
As a rule, they have played a lot at the professional level and have a special sports education.
What are the rules for attending training sessions by the parents?
Parents are required to deliver their child to training. We do not let them into the training process itself, so that the child is not distracted. This is a common practice both in Kazakhstan and in Russia. We have a TV where they can watch the training session.
How much does it cost to buy the apparel and where should people get it?
For the youngest, it is possible and probably even better to buy a used apparel. Now it costs in the range of 50-100 thousand tenge. Children grow up very quickly at this age and I think there is no point in buying a new apparel for 1 year. Now there are quite a lot of specialized stores where you can buy apparels for every preference and budget. The main thing is that it should be comfortable for the child.
