Beibarys Orazov: "Grateful to the Coaching Staff for Their Trust and the Opportunity to Play at This Level"

Just yesterday, Beibarys Orazov was playing an away game for the Snow Leopards against Tyumen Legion, and today, he made his debut for Barys in the KHL. The 19-year-old defenseman, who spent nearly eight minutes on the ice, shared his thoughts on the team's win over Avtomobilist.

- It was a great game. Of course, I was nervous at the start, but everyone supported us. The most important thing is that we won. After my penalty, I was a bit worried, but I was able to quickly adjust and get back into the game. The guys on the bench gave me advice on what to do."

— The Snow Leopards have had a solid start to their MHL season. Were you expecting a call-up to the main team?

— No, I wasn’t expecting it. I was just trying to play my game and contribute to the team. Right after the game in Tyumen, we were told we needed to head to Yekaterinburg. We arrived late at night, got some rest, had lunch, and went straight into the match. I'm very grateful to Barys' coaching staff for their trust and the opportunity to play at this level.

— In your opinion, what was the key moment in today’s game against Avtomobilist?

— The whole team stayed resilient when the opponent put pressure on the net. Plus, Nikita Boyarkin made some crucial saves, and our guys capitalized on their chances.
