First opponent of the two-match roadstand series will be Avtomobilist.

Yekaterinburg's team approaches their matchup against Barys as the Eastern Conference leader. Last week, however, Nikolai Zavarukhin's team lost in overtime on the roadstand to Salavat Yulaev and stopped their winning streak. Sergei Zborovsky and Daniil Tarasov scored the goals for Ufa. Puckstopper Igor Bobkov made 27 shots on goal. Avtomobilist Head Trainer noted that his opponent's success brought two consecutive penalties at the end of the meeting.

In 34 games, the Urals scored 49 points. Brooks Macek (24+14) is KHL's best sniper and sharpshooter at the moment. Stephane Da Costa (12+25) is the league's top alternate captain. The day before the game with Barys, the injured list included forwards Anatoly Golyshev, Patrice Cormier and Alexei Makeyev.

Barys lost to Spartak at home on Friday. A puck from Nikita Mikhailis, who broke his goal-scoring silence, allowed the Astana players to open the scoring, but the only other players to score were the Moscow team. Mikhail Rakhmanov earned his first assist of the season. Julius Hudacek saved 20 shots on net. Andrei Skabelka noted that after a good start, Barys' game was broken by penalties.

With 30 points after 35 meetings, the Kazakhstan team ranks 9th in the Eastern Conference standings. The upcoming roadstands will be missed by defenseman Yury Sergiyenko, as well as forwards Jeremy Bracco and Michael Chaput.

In the seasonal match between Barys and Avtomobilist, there is still a draw. Both teams had a homestand win each, and both fights ended with the same score 2-0.
