As part of an official visit to Astana, a delegation led by United World Wrestling President and IOC member Nenad Lalovic visited Barys Arena. The group also included UWW Vice President Akhrol Ruziev, UWW Asia President Mohammed Al-Awamleh, and Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation President Yerkin Okasov.
Accompanied by Barys General Director Saken Musaybekov, the guests toured the main arena and explored the facility’s infrastructure. Special attention was given to its world-class technical capabilities, including the secondary ice rink and an Olympic-standard swimming pool.
The complex’s high level of оснащение positions it as a strong candidate to host major international events in the future—not only in hockey, but also in combat sports and aquatic disciplines.
