The hockey tournament at the Beijing Olympics featured a duel for the bronze medals. The Slovak national team outplayed their opponents from Sweden in it (4-0).
Barys forward Tomas Jurco spent nearly seven and a half minutes on the ice and had three shots on goal.
Thus, the Slovak national team took third place in the tournament and won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games for the first time in history.
