The Barsy made a strong start to the game. Aristarkh Kireev took advantage of an opposing player being sent to the penalty box and fired the puck on goal. It found the back of Danil Tychkin's net. Thus, for the first time in their last four games, the Barsy opened the scoring.

Just over a minute later, Matvei Umerenkov made it 2:0. After recording an assist in the previous game, Umerenkov scored himself this time.

The first period ended in the Barsy's favor. However, Vladislav Anufriev's penalty late in the period meant the hosts had to start the second period shorthanded. Sputnik took advantage of the opportunity, with Vladimir Safonov cutting the deficit.

The visitors needed less than three minutes to level the score. Semyon Buss capitalized on a scramble in front of the net guarded by Kirill Mylnikov and sent the puck into the goal.

Two minutes later, Ilgiz Nuriyev's side regained the lead. Team captain Aristarkh Kireev scored his second goal of the game to complete his brace.

The Barsy could not score again after that, while Sputnik turned the game around with a brace from Vizen Taziev and Semyon Buss. The visitors went on to win 5:3.
