After 14 seasons with Barys, Roman Starchenko decided to try his hand at another club.
The captain of the Kazakhstan national team has played for Barys since the club joined the KHL. He has 740 matches and 377 productive actions on his account. Roman is the seventh player in the League who has reached the mark of 200 abandoned goals, and the athlete did it as part of the same team. It is worth noting that Starchenko is the second sniper in the history of the capital club.
Last season, the forward had 41 meetings and recorded 24 (9+15) points to his credit. To this, Roman added 7 matches at the World Championship in the elite division, in which he scored 5 (2+3) points.
The upcoming season will be Starchenko's 15th in the Kontinental Hockey League.
Barys thanks Roman for his huge contribution to the development of the club and the entire hockey in Kazakhstan, and also wishes him success in his future career and the achievement of all his goals!
