Tomiris secures their first victory in the championship

The first round of the women's hockey championship of Kazakhstan in Group A kicked off in Ust-Kamenogorsk. In the highly anticipated match between long-time rivals Aisulu and Tomiris, the capital team emerged victorious. Under the guidance of coach Alexander Tebenkov, Tomiris built a solid lead by the 33rd minute, thanks to goals from Ekaterina Kutsenko, Azaliya Avzalova, and Daria Kozhina. Though the Almaty team managed to close the gap to a minimum, they couldn’t push the game into overtime. Tomiris’ goalkeeper Arina Shchyokolova made 33 saves.
