The Barys Youth Sports School has once again been recognized as the best hockey school in Kazakhstan

On May 27, the season closing ceremony of the Barys Youth Sports School was held at the Barys Arena press center. The event was conducted in the format of a "class hour" - each age group received well-deserved awards for the season, and the best players in each team were also named. The award ceremony was attended by Bolat Karabalin, Deputy General Director of Barys, Ruslan Nurmukhametov, Director of Barys Youth Sports School, and Rinat Nurakhmetov, specialist of the Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation for the development of youth and mass hockey.

In the 2023/24 season, the Barys youth team won the Jastar Hokei Ligasy for the fifth consecutive time, and all youth teams participating in the Kazakhstan Championship for their age groups also won gold medals. Three teams from our school advanced to the top group in the Championship of the Ural, Siberian, and Volga Federal Districts of the Russian Federation.

Ruslan Nurmukhametov, Director of Barys Youth Sports School:

- The season has once again been quite productive for us. This year we are graduating the «Barys-2006» team, which became the champion of the Kazakhstan youth championship. Most of the players have already received invitations from the «Snow Leopards» and they will be able to continue their hockey journey within the Barys system. I would like to wish our graduates good luck in their favorite endeavor! The children's school is over; now they are starting their big hockey life. To our younger age groups, I wish them a good summer break and preparation for the new season!

The Barys Youth Sports School has once again earned the title of the best hockey school in Kazakhstan.

- On behalf of the Federation, I congratulate the children, parents, coaches, school management, and the club on the well-deserved award. This is a collective contribution to the development of all Kazakhstani hockey. Over time, we will see these guys in the junior, youth, and adult national teams of the republic.
