Nomad gets its revenge in Game 2 of the quarterfinals.

Today, the Astana side played their second game of the playoff quarterfinal series against Almaty. The Nomads came away with a confident 5–2 win to even the score.

Vyacheslav Kolesnikov opened the scoring in the first period. Just 14 seconds into the second, Batyrlan Muratov doubled the lead. Before the break, Khaknazar Kenesbay added a third for the home team.

In the third period, Oleg Boyko scored twice to put the game away.

The series now shifts to Almaty. The next games will be played on February 28 and March 2 in the southern capital.
