Leonid Metelnikov, a Master of Sports of International Class in hockey, has achieved an impressive list of accomplishments during his playing career. He became a Petrov Cup winner, a silver medalist at the Winter Universiade, and a multiple-time World Championship Division I champion.
The former defenseman of the Kazakhstan national team and Barys officially ended his professional playing career in the summer of 2025 and is now transitioning to a new role within the club’s system — as General Manager.
