The MHL regular season will begin on September 6 and run continuously until December 29. The New Year break will then begin and last until January 3. A total of 188 game days are scheduled through March 22, with an average of 4.88 games per game day. This is the second-lowest figure in league history. The only lower average was recorded during the inaugural 2009/10 season. At that time, 22 teams played 666 games, while the 2026/27 championship will feature 34 teams and a total of 918 games.
Snezhnye Barsy will open the new season with a three-game home series. The Astana side will face their new opponent AKM-Junior on September 9 and 10, followed by a game against Loko-76 on September 14. The team will then travel to Perm for a short road trip, where they will face MHK Molot on September 18 and 19.
The championship schedule has been designed to make it easier for fans to follow MHL action. On approximately half of all game days (46.3%), no more than four games will be played. This is the third-best figure in league history and the highest since the 2015/16 season. Of the 188 game days, only five will feature more than nine games, another record-low figure in MHL history.
When preparing the 2026/27 schedule, the number of instances where teams from the same system and using the same arenas play on the same day was reduced by more than half. There were 33 such instances last season; this number has now been reduced to 13.
For Snezhnye Barsy, the regular season will conclude on March 22, when Ilgiz Ravilievich Nuriev's team will face Krasnoyarskie Rysi on the road.
Due to the Kazakhstan U20 national team's participation in the World Junior Championship, Snezhnye Barsy will not play any official games from November 17 to December 17, 2026.
