Before the Admiral vs. Barys Match

In the final game of their away series, Barys will face Admiral in Vladivostok.

After their shootout victory (3:2) on January 23 in Astana, the Far Eastern team suffered three consecutive losses. In their last match, Admiral was defeated at home in overtime by Sibir (3:4). Vyacheslav Osnovin, Jack Rodewald, and Nikita Soshnikov scored for Admiral, while Ilya Konovalov and Andrey Mishurov combined for 32 saves. Head coach Leonid Tambiev thanked his players for earning a point but noted that his team played passively in overtime and allowed the opponent to take control.

After 51 games, Admiral has collected 52 points. The team’s top scorer is Daniil Gutik (18+19). Defenseman Artyom Chmykhov and forward Alexander Shevchenko are currently on the injured list.

On Sunday, Barys failed to score against Amur (0:5). The Astana team registered 34 shots on target but could not beat Damir Shaimardanov. Meanwhile, Johan Mattsson made 16 saves. Barys remains at 28 points after 52 games.
