Barys will kick off a five-game home series with a match against SKA.

On Tuesday, the St. Petersburg team suffered a 1-3 defeat against Dynamo Moscow. The only goal for SKA was scored by Ilya Karpukhin. Goaltender Pavel Moiseevich allowed three goals on 17 shots before being replaced by Egor Zavragin, who made nine saves.

After 54 games, Roman Rotenberg’s team has accumulated 67 points. The team's top scorer, Ivan Demidov, has 45 points (19+26). Alexander Nikishin (13+22) is among the most productive defensemen in the league, while Zakhar Bardakov ranks in the top five in the league for plus-minus rating (+24). Injuries have sidelined goaltender Artemy Pleshkov and forward Arseny Gritsyuk.

Barys, in their last match before the break for the All-Star Week in Novosibirsk, lost in overtime 3-4 to Admiral in Vladivostok. Despite trailing 0-3, they managed to tie the game, with goals from Mikhail Rakhmanov, Dinmukhamed Kaiyrzhan, and Ivan Nikishin.

Stanislav Bocharov recorded his 150th assist in the KHL, while Aslan Jusupbekov and Sayan Daniyar registered their first career points. Vsevolod Logvin played his 50th game, and goaltender Nikita Boyarkin made 50 saves.

After 53 games, the Kazakh team has 29 points. Their top scorer, Anton Burdasov (12+5), has been removed from the injury list but is still training individually. Maksim Mukhametov and Alikhan Asetov remain out, while the coaching staff must also cope with the absence of 11 key players currently with the Kazakhstan national team. Defensemen Mstislav Shipilin and Marat Sagymbayev have been called up from Snezhnye Barsy and may make their KHL debuts today.

Two months ago, Barys visited St. Petersburg and suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat.
