Snezhnye Barsy began their October home series against Loko-76, but the visitors came out on top in the first matchup. In the opening period, Ivan Lesser’s team converted two unanswered chances — Mikhail Kriklivy and Vadim Fomin found the back of the net.
In the second frame, after conceding twice, the Astana coaching staff decided to make a goalie change: Dzhohar Dudarkiev replaced Daulet Kuat. However, toward the end of the period, Dudarkiev couldn’t stop a shot from Nikita Malkov, extending the Yaroslavl team’s lead.
In the final period, Snezhnye Barsy finally broke through Dmitry Borichev’s net. Defenseman Sanzhar Ibragim scored the long-awaited goal. The hosts increased the pressure after that, but poor finishing prevented them from closing the gap. The game ended 1–3 in favor of Loko-76.
Snezhnye Barsy – Loko-76 1:3 (0:2, 0:1, 1:0)
0:1 – 04:45 Kriklivy (Polyakov, Nos)
0:2 – 10:00 Fomin (Kurnin)
0:3 – 38:31 Malkov (Tumanov)
1:3 – 43:11 Ibragim (Simakhin, Kireyev)
Goalies: Kuat (12:51 – 60:00 Dudarkiev) – Borichev

Head Coach Anton Vasin shared his thoughts after the game:
“The problem is finishing. We create plenty of chances, we shoot, we get the puck to the net, but we still struggle to convert. We’re working on it and giving the guys feedback. The start wasn’t great either: in the previous game, Dudarkiev played poorly and wasn’t ready, so today we started Kuat — and it happened again. But the second goalie did well. The absence of Karim Kazhibekov also had an impact. We don’t have many forwards who can both create and finish chances. Karim played four games and already scored, so losing him is a significant blow to our offense.”
